Judson King Smith
Born in Southern California, Smith received his BFA in sculpture from the California College of the Arts. Influenced by the tradition of California assemblage art, he was drawn to found objects, industrial relics, movie sets, miniatures, and museum installations. His work has been in group and solo exhibitions throughout California and various pieces are held in private collections. Smith lives in Sebastopol.
The figure rises, transcending a wasteland of industrial obsolescence. He embodies the ascendant spirit of man; the ingenious and perseverant quality of human nature, the tenacious skill to rise out of adversity and reinvent.
